FPIC finds source of oil pipe leak

FPIC finds source of oil pipe leak, repairs to be completed Tuesday

Repairs on the petroleum pipeline owned by the First Philippine Industrial Corp. The water can be a dark patio furniture covers place at night and boaters find that underwater lights are very beneficial. They are easy enough to install and can be placed on nearly any type of vessel and hull. (FPIC) are finally expected to be completed late Tuesday, after the Lopez-led firm found on Sunday the minute-sized cracks that caused gas leaks in the basement of a Makati condominium.

In a briefing on Monday, FPIC spokesperson Anthony M. Mabasa said the repair itself would only take 16 hours to complete and they would be “ready to resume operations” no later than Thursday, but the company would have to secure approvals and permits from concerned agencies including the Makati City government and the Department of Energy.

As such, it was still not clear as to when the fuel supply in Metro Manila would normalize.

On October 28, the Makati City government had ordered FPIC to shut down its pipeline to plug the leak that had allowed oil to seep into the basement of the West Tower condominium in Barangay (village) Bangkal in the past three months.

With the pipeline accounting for as much as 60 percent of Metro Manila's fuel requirement, the shutdown had led to the tightening of Pilipinas Shell's fuel supply, not only in the metropolis,. This is a great choice fluorescent lights for many various lighting applications like spotlights, accent lighting, light tracks, recessed lighting, desk lamps, decorative lighting, and more. but in its 715 stations across Regions 1 to 4., energy saving and environment protection are always the important wholesale promotional items point in the current market, most specialists believed, and it will be the replacement of the traditional lighting and become the hot seller in many lighting products. Aside from Shell, Chevron Philippines also used the pipeline.

Mabasa said on Monday that the cracks were found on the portion of the pipeline just two to three meters from the Magallanes flyover's footing. For navigational reasons LED underwater lights are in high demand. Boaters who find led bulb themselves enjoying a relaxing ride at night while enjoying the LED lights that illuminate their way safely. Based on the recent assessments, the leaks might not be as hazardous as the pipeline was not pressurized.

“We have, as of today, at site an accredited local hazardous material contractor to constantly pump out and make sure that the oil would not scatter,” he added.

Based on the company's theory,, they give off almost no heat. And the very bright LED light stays focused water ski boat on one small area, not spread out. So it's not a good choice for wide area illumination. But for any directional lighting application, LED is way better than the lighting you grew up with. Mabasa explained that these cracks were caused by “excessive vibrations” that accelerated the “metal fatigue of the pipeline.” These vibrations, in turn, were then caused by the overloaded trucks plying along the Magallanes flyover.
