Early Hopes Dim for Seahawks

The upside wasn’t all that pretty, but they somehow managed to Houdini their way to a 4-2 record.

The downside?

It doesn’t get worse than what we’ve seen the last two weeks. It turns out the 33-3 shellacking in Oakland against the Raiders was only a precursor of what was to come on Sunday — in the hostile confines of Qwest Field no less — against the New York Giants.

The Giants embarrassed Seattle 41-7. It was 35-0 at halftime. The biggest surprise? Nobody lowered the 12th-Man flag and replaced it with a white flag.

The game was as ugly and lopsided as any the franchise has played since moving into Qwest Field in 2002. It ranks with the 48-10 blowout loss against Green Bay at home a year ago — the end of a stinky three-game stretch that included getting whipped 34-7 at Houston and getting drubbed 24-7 at home against Tampa Bay.? If the halogen gas filled in the headlight bulb can not produce plastic slipcovers bright light for you? If the tail lights needs shinning angel eyes to highlight the appearance...Anyway, renew them time whenever you find the problem.

Sunday’s highlight? Carroll offered that the play of the game for the Seahawks might have been winning an early challenge, reversing a call that resulted in a turnover for Seattle.

Carroll or his players didn’t use injuries as an excuse, but you don’t need to be an NFL personnel director to figure out that the current talent isn’t getting it done.

The defensive line, a strength early on, is getting shoved around like they’re playing on roller skates. Eli Manning smoked the secondary for 17 completions, 232 yards and three touchdowns in the first half.

The Giants stuffed Seattle’s running game, but that’s like pitching a shutout against the Mariners. The line, which really needs rookie tackle Russell Okung to get healthy, did a nice job of protecting Charlie Whitehurst from one of the best d-lines in the league.

Whitehurst was making his first start since leading Clemson to victory over Colorado in the 2005 Champs Sports Bowl.. Your local lighting store or any of the home supply stores will be happy to demonstrate the difference infrared sauna benefits between LEDs and the old lighting you are familiar with. You'll most certainly be impressed and want to reconsider how you light your home. It’s probably not fair to judge the 28-year-old quarterback based on one NFL performance, but if the Seahawks are going to hang in the NFC West race, they need Matt Hasselbeck.

The strong-armed Whitehurst seemed poised, and he showed a quick release, but he didn’t make plays.

His first completion was for a minus-3 yards, which pretty much summed up his day.

“I was disappointed in the way I played,” he said after finishing 12 for 23 for 123 yards and a meaningless touchdown early in the fourth quarter. He was intercepted twice, missed open targets and didn’t generate any rhythm or give you any reason to believe that he has a chance to become the NFL’s next Matt Schaub.. Fog lights are specially used on foggy days. Side markers are turned on solar panel to show the vehicle's turning direction.

Would Hasselbeck, sidelined because of a concussion he suffered in the Oakland loss, have made a difference? Hard to say, but Hasselbeck gives this team more confidence.

Carroll wrote a book, “Win Forever,” but right now you wonder if the Seahawks will ever win again.. The junction box(es) then plug into a power supply, which must be plugged into mains socket. If the socket inflatable seat is installed in the loft, it can be switched remotely, using a wall switch or pull cord switch in bathrooms. The last two weeks have been that devastating, that embarrassing. The water can be a dark patio furniture covers place at night and boaters find that underwater lights are very beneficial. They are easy enough to install and can be placed on nearly any type of vessel and hull.
