This year, after being diagnosed with cancer for the second time since 2003, Geiger-Wolf came up with the idea to use his light display to raise money and awareness for the Canadian Cancer Society by accepting donations for the charity from spectators.
“I’ve benefited from a lot of the good work and programs that they offer and have seen how they help individuals and families,” he said.
