PDP’s SECs’ dissolution and discordant tunes
The dissolution of the state congresses of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in some states of the federation by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has led to festering crises in the affected states. Banji Aluko reports.
WHEN the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) made a pronouncement that the congresses of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in eight states were not properly constituted, the electoral body finally sounded the death knell on an issue which had generated so much heat in the affected states.

With few months to the conduct of the 2011 general election, the national headquarters of the party, in a letter to the INEC from the office of the National Secretary dated September 30, 2010, informed the electoral umpire of dates for the conduct of the congresses in the affected states. The party had fixed October 21 for ward congresses; Saturday,Indirect lighting offers an interesting and eye catching form meal2010 of light from concealed source. October 23 for local government council congresses and Monday, October 25 for the state congresses. In an address, he said that “the leadership of the PDP in Plateau State is once more being inundated with calls and enquiries on purported party congress in the state.Every room stands to benefit from various light sources. This helps to create atmosphere. It also helps those who gucciblet live there accomplished and complete tasks that require good light. For the umpteenth time, we wish to state that there is no iota of truth in such wild rumours and propaganda.
